Jimmy George and Chris LaMartina’s WNUF: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL gets another great review – and even features yours truly prominently! Link is HERE.

Filmmaker Kevin Kangas is making progress with his new anthology horror movie TERRORTORY 2. Stay Tuned…

Filmmaker Erik Kristopher Myers (Roulette) has a new movie coming out soon called BUTTERFLY KISSES. Here is the dope from the IMDb: A filmmaker discovers a box of video tapes depicting two students’ disturbing film project featuring a local horror legend, The Peeping Tom. As he sets out to prove this story is real and release it as a work of his own, he loses himself and the film crew following him into his project.

Well, nice of me to show up after 10 months, eh? A lot has been happening actually. first off, I have been VERY ill in 2017. Diabetes. Then I got involved in the GALAXY INVADER bluray – almost done. Plus I have been trying – repeat – trying to get my damn movie project off the ground. All of this has lead to me having NO time to update the site. And so much has happened. So much to report. But, this is just a teaser to get the rust off the gears and back to my fans. Thanks for being patient all this time.

So to ease back into the picture, I give you a new web series presented by actors Brian St. August and Leanna Chamish. It’s THE ACTORS’ HOT TUB, and they discuss topics important to actors trying to land commercials, movies, or television parts. Give it a watch HERE!

Welcome back and I hope everyone had a great HALLOWEEN. More to come!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Years! Wow, 2016 has been SOMETHING hasn’t it? Unfortunately a lot of beloved celebrities went on to their greater rewards this year. Sad times indeed. But, let’s focus on some new news and more uplifting things shall we?

The insanely talented actress Leanna Chamish has let me know a couple of very cool things going on in the independent filmmaking realm. The first up is that Phil Cook – creator of MALICE: the web series has released the first trailer for the new season of MALICE called EMERGENCE. It stars talented actress Brittany Martz. Check it out – it looks awesome!

Also, Leanna tells me that the Jimmy George/Chris LaMartina cult favorite WNUF: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL has shown up at DREADCENTRAL.COM. That is great! The article talks about the 13 greatest modern “retro” horror films – and WNUF is at #1! Check out the article!!!

Next up I have done an article on the day I spent with filmmakers Tom Griffith and David Geatty. These gentlemen you may know from the cult classic Don Dohler‘s THE ALIEN FACTOR. Well, they are teaming up to do an action/drama film called

Myles Hall: Honor Reclaimed. It is about a down-and-out homeless war vet that has to take on a gang of thieves that have killed his friend. The project is underway, but Tom and David want you to take a look at their page and leave a comment. If you feel charitable give them a few dollars to the production through their GoFundMe account. This is a fantastic project and you can get the details inside the article HERE.

On my part, I have been busy with working on a couple of behind-the-scenes videos that are Don Dohler related. The first being is that I am doing the behind the scenes interviews for Don Dohler’s GALAXY INVADER blu ray release. Look for it in 2017.

The next thing is that Mitch Klein is finishing up the effects on CRAWLER (looking good!) and I am wrapping up the behind-the-scenes making of. I think 2017 is going to be CRAWLER’s year!

So have a safe, wonderful holiday season.  We have TONS of interviews and reviews coming up, and I have been talking to Frank Lama – we may relaunch Smash or Trash TV!

Please consider giving a few dollars toward the various independent projects out there. All independent filmmakers want to do is entertain you. Help make that possible!

Filmmaker Don Dohler

This weekend… it’s been 10 years since we lost independent filmmaker Don Dohler. A whole decade now. Taken way, way too soon. A talented man, and a man that was loved by his family, friends and fans. Thank you for the mentoring, advice and the friendship Don. Thank you for the creativity and movies. I know we all wish we had many, many more years with you.

Over the 2016 Halloween Season, filmmakers Chris LaMartina and Jimmy George had a lot to be proud of. For one thing, their critically acclaimed found footage film WNUF Halloween Special played in the famous Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles. Also in attendance was LaMartina’s lovely wife Melissa, and actors Julian and Helenmary Ball.

Hollywood 1944 and 1984. The creeps are crawling out of the woodwork like a bad dream and lone gumshoe private eye Dic Jones is trying to make the long cold crawl out of a short warm whiskey bottle. In this dark black and white underworld there are two lady Vampires on the loose. Vera and Serina, two super fine, rocked out, glammed up, new waved lesbian bloodsuckers, hell bent on a tinsel-town drinking spree.
In the summer of ’84, they feverishly shot with a five-man crew on a 15-day schedule working out of a
small office on Hollywood Boulevard surrounded by bikers and homeless. It was hard to tell where the
film ended and the production began. An additional two scenes were shot six months later and the
filming phase was complete.
When the shooting phase of the film was over, the post-production wreck left in its wake a vortex dying
in a storm. Travis and Bishart had no money to hire a real editor, so they tried to tackle that task with a
sense of impending doom. A year later, a workable cut still had not been found. Their production office
was closed and the editing was moved to Bishart’s home office. After another year, the work was
transferred to ¾ inch tape and various versions of the film were made in search of the perfect cut.
Creative disagreements, technical snafus, lack of funding and distractions from the next career step
were beginning to dilute the ability to finish Dark Seduction. Unable to find the cut, both men
returned to their other jobs and Dark Seduction was temporarily shelled.
The real question for Greg Travis was what kind of a movie had he made? Part film noir, part horror
movie, part comedy and all homage… Dark Seduction was all of those things. Travis was faced with
putting together what was now beginning to look like a collage of short scenes concocted under the
umbrella of high concept. It went into storage, a kind of post-apocalyptic hibernation, peaking out of
its cryogenic chamber every century or so to check and see if the world was habitable once again.
Travis’ vision, like all dreams to the dreamer upon awakening, lost cohesion in the stark light of day.
Ownership disputes followed. Now and again, an attempt to resurrect Dark Seduction would come
along then disappear. At one point, the negative was lost when an editor who had possession of it
suffered a stroke and went incommunicado for a year, but like Dic Jones, Travis persevered.
The digital revolution revitalized Dark Seduction just like an infusion of fresh blood reanimates a vampire! A
high quality restoration of the original footage now made it possible to re-edit! Time, experience and
perhaps a little wisdom had sharpened Travis’ dark dream into an actionable narrative that could now
be told. The style of the 40’s and the insanity of the 80’s were once again married, this time into a
workable relationship, and all the frenetic, quirky energy of the participants, from grip to actor, all of
their blood, sweat and tears come through in every single frame! All who took part were darkly seduced
by Travis’ obsession. They’ve had their Dark Seduction. Now it’s time for yours!
  • The film was originally shot in Los Angeles, CA in the summer of 1984 and was never finished due to a long list of mishaps, creative battles, and lost footage.
  • Featuring a classic film Noir detective, two beautiful Vampire Vixens and a supporting cast of hilarious characters; this lost cult classic, thirty years in the making, has the potential to become one of the greatest cult films of all time!
  • Directed by Greg Travis, Industry Veteran, known for his Roles in Starship Troopers, Watchmen, Show Girls, and Man on the moon, and Starring his Sister Stacy Travis: Easy A, Ghost World, Bandits.
  • A Documentary has been produced chronicling the film’s trials and tribulations from 1984 into present day. The documentary release will coincide with the release of the film.
  • Shot on 16mm Black and White, making it a must see film for Purist’s, so good it’ll make them weak at the knees!
  • On April 1st, 2016 a long overdue premier finally had it’s night! In attendance were Celebrities (Robert Townsend, Andy Dick, John Kassir, Vanessa waters). Also in attendance were the members of the cast and crew, that Travis was able to hunt down 30 years later. It was a midnight screening of ‘Dark Seduction’ at the Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles.
